First, why pay a premium price for the same piece when
estate jewelry affords you the best price possible in
mint condition. You are not losing quality you are
gaining a great deal. After all, diamonds are FOREVER.
Estate Jewelry is a
term used to describe previously owned jewelry,
usually acquired from estates of deceased or living,
and private entities. Generally referring to jewelry
that is of vintage and/or antique nature.
Periods of vintage and
estate jewelry
Jewelry which is termed ‘vintage’ includes many
decades or eras. Each era has many different designs.
These eras include Georgian, Early Victorian,
Mid-Victorian, Late Victorian, Arts and Crafts era,
Art Nouveau, Edwardian, Art Deco and Retro. People
confuse Retro with estate jewelry. The word "estate"
in "estate jewelry" does not refer to jewelry coming
from the estate of the deceased. Estate simply means
previously owned. |
