 My First Parsha Reader

A Jewish Child's Basic Reader
Ideal for Ages 3-8

Do You know the names of the five Book of the Torah?

1. The first one is Sefer (the Book of) Beraishis. It tells us how Hashem made the world. What else does the Book of Beraishis tell us?
2. The second one is Sefer Sh'mos. It tells us how hard Bnai Yisrael (the Jews) worked in Mitzrayim (Egypt). Hashem took the Jews out of Mitzrayim. Then he gave them the Torah.
3. The third Book is Sefer Vayikra. It teaches many dinim (laws). Some are about the korbanos (animal) presents for Hashem). The Jews have to bring them to Bais Hamikdash (Hashem's holy House).
4. The fourth one is Sefer Bamidbar. It speaks about what happened to the Jews in the desert.
5. The Fifth Book of the Torah is Sefer Devarim. It tell us what Moshe said to the Jews before he died.
