DETERMINE YOUR HAT SIZE
Measure
your head, in inches, just above your
ear line, coming across your forehead.
Divide the number of inches by pi (3.1415)
to determine your U.S. size- 7 1/8 for
example. ( 22 1/2" divided by pi
= 7.16 or hat size 7 1/8 [ 7.125] plus
a little.
If you have a tape in centimeters, simply
measure and note the number of centimeters.
(The Europeans make it so simple!) In
this case the 22 1/2 " head would
be a 57. (22.5 x 2.54 cm/inch = 57).
Each centimeter = 1/8 of a head size.
so, 7 = 56, 7 1/8 = 57, 7 1/4
= 58 7 3/8 = 59, and so on. |
| Practical,
comfortable and kosher. Order one size
larger than normal tzitzit or shirt size.Tzitzit
(Arba Kanfot) refers to a garment with
strings worn to fulfill the biblical commandment
to make for themselves fringes on the
corners of their garments throughout their
generations so that you may remember and
fulfill all My commandments and be holy
to your G-d... (Numbers 15:38).
Usually
when the strings become frayed, it ends
up being cheaper to purchase a new tzitzit.
Round
necked tzitzit has no slit while a T-neck
tzitzit has a flap that can be folded
under open necked shirts. Washing tzitzit
is no fun. Try Wash-it bag. It works! |
