2003 Wall Calendar
Synagogues
Neil Folberg spent three years photographing Jewish houses of
worship in locations as diverse as the American South, Holland,
and India. Published originally in the award-winning book And
I Shall Dwell Among Them: Historic Synagogues of the World,
his images draw attention to regional architectural details,
lovingly handcrafted objects, and the protean diffusion of light
within these sacred structures. This sixteen-month calendar
features thirteen of Folberg's inspiring photographs, including
interior shots of Casale Monferratto in Italy, Magen David
Synagogue in Bombay, and Temple Gemiluth Chessed in Port Gibson,
Mississippi.
This is a 16-month calendar (September 2002 - December 2003 / Elul
5762 - Tevet 5764) and includes major and minor Jewish holidays,
weekly scriptural readings, days of the Jewish year, and
